Nonfictional context

Unique Tag: [ NonfictionalContext ]

A type of microtheory that is a specialization of propositional information (qq.v.). Each instance of nonfictional context is an informational microtheory that represents things explicitly from the point of view of some work of nonfiction (see nonfictional pcw).

A nonfictional context is assumed to include very few if any assertions that are widely believed to be false or questionable. Of course, due to error, there might happen to be false assertions in a given piece of nonfiction; but this is never the intent of the author or source.

Cf. fictional context.
