A specialization of body of water. Each instance of international waters is a body of water that is considered to be accessible to international maritime traffic and trade. International waters may be subject to the customs and laws of a particular country, or of the international community. Examples include instances of international waterway, the High Seas, and, ordinarily, territorial waters like (Territorial Sea Fn the United States), unless these have been closed to shipping in a particular context.
