A collection of collections. Each instance of information designation type is a collection of attributes. These attributes are those designations or classifications of information that are part of some recognized classification scheme. For instance, the collection government information designation is an instance of information designation type. Instances of government information designation are attributes of information that are part of US government's scheme of classification, eg, top secret information. Other examples include corporate information designation, government affiliated information designation, and others.
