A specialization of both food and drink and liquid. Each instance of beverage is a portion of a liquid of a type that is ingestible and commonly consumed by humans or animals. Instances of beverage, unlike instances of food item (q.v.), are ingested by drinking without chewing. Since soup and applesauce are normally ``eaten'' by being placed in the mouth with a spoon, they are not considered to be drunk (although one can certainly drink either), and so are not specializations of this collection. Specializations of beverage include drinkable water, hot tea, hot chocolate, lemonade, and beer.
